Getting around Samui
- By car
As you would expect, the island is serviced by many of the internationally known car hire brands. Pick up is generally from the airport. - By taxi
Unfortunately many of the taxis do not operate a meter service. They are clean, comfortable and reliable, but you will need to bargain to get a good price!
- By motorcycle
The preferred mode of transport for most. Motorcycle hire companies are abundant around the island and small mopeds offer the best value for money. Larger bikes can be found in the larger resort areas.
- By Songthaews

The majority of these vehicles take one route from the East of the Island to the West and back again.
Flag one down heading in your direction i.e. Chaweng - Bo Phut - Nathon or Nathon - Bo Phut - Chaweng.
The currency is the Thai Baht and there are plenty of banks and ATMs to exchange and withdraw money.
